House fire in Lake Bluff 11-16-12
It's Chuck Mankin here, just got this update for you. The fire that broke out in the basement of the house at 427 Pine Ct in Lake Bluff is now fully under control. Firefighters were dispatched around 5 PM, and when they arrived, there was visible smoke coming from the building. One person was taken to the hospital for minor burns. From what I could see, several departments were involved—Lake Bluff, Knollwood, Libertyville, Great Lakes, Lake Forest, Mundelein, and Countryside.
Attached are some photos I took myself. You can see the extent of the damage, especially in the backyard where the flames really took hold. It’s heartbreaking to see such a beautiful house go through something like this. The firefighters did an incredible job containing it before it spread further.
