Box Alarm in Glen Ellyn, May 9, 2014

Here's a quick update from John Tulipano:

Just snapped a few photos from the box alarm that took place today in Glen Ellyn at 503 Duane Street. Fire crews made a quick response and knocked on the door. The fire was confined to one room on the third floor at the rear of a three-story building that’s a mixed-use structure with apartments above. One resident was taken to Loyola for evaluation.

Working Fire in Bloomingdale, May 9, 2014

Another report from John Tulipano:

This was the second fire of the day. I wish I had seen more smoke and flames, but the fire started in a hot water heater flue inside a void space on the first floor and quickly climbed up. It was an occupied three-story apartment building, 50 by 75 feet. Firefighters knocked it down quickly using just one line.
