According to Lyons Fire officials, the suspicious package was discovered around 8:11 a.m. at the west suburban post office located at 7836 W. Ogden Ave. As a precaution, emergency responders were immediately called in, including the Cook County Bomb Squad and multiple fire departments.

The post office was evacuated while hazmat teams worked to assess the situation. The scene involved coordinated efforts from various agencies, highlighting the seriousness of the incident.
