Berwyn boat fire 6-13-11
The Berwyn Fire Department responded to a fire in an alley on the 7000 block of 34th Street this evening. The incident involved a boat that was under construction and had fully caught fire, prompting a quick response from local firefighters.
Josh Boyajian, a resident of Berwyn, shared his firsthand account and photos with us:
"When I stepped outside, I immediately saw a large fire visible from my house. The Berwyn fire companies arrived on scene and found a boat on fire, completely engulfed. They deployed two lines to tackle the blaze. North Riverside Fire Department provided auto-aid support."
