Where are they now … Schaumburg

As a follow-up to our recent post about the X-River Grove engine, here's the X-Schaumburg engine that many of you mentioned in the comments section.

From Tyler Tobolt:

The Schaumburg Old Engine 4 has been purchased by the River Grove Fire Department. It's a 1999 E-One engine. This photo was taken by B & P Fire Apparatus and shared on FB.

From Bill Friedrich:

Here is the Schaumburg engine that was sold to the River Grove FD. I’ll send a photo of the rig at its new home once I take it.

It’s always interesting to see how these engines move from one department to another. The River Grove FD seems to be expanding their fleet, and this 1999 E-One Hurricane looks like a solid addition. We’re looking forward to seeing more photos of it in action at its new location. Let us know if you have any updates or stories about this engine!
