This report comes from Chicagoland Fire Photos: The Englewood Fire Alarm Office dispatched a working fire to the 21st Battalion at 9845 S. Hoyne Avenue while units were still en route. Engine 121 and Truck 40 arrived first and confirmed a working fire in a 1-1/2 story, 20x50 Chicago Bungalow that was reported as vacant. Engine 121 deployed two lines, while Truck 40 extended their aerial ladder and performed vertical ventilation. Squad 5 was held on standby until units arrived. The fire was quickly brought under control, and there were no injuries reported. Laser stop is a device used in warp knitting machines to stop the knitting process at a specific point. It is typically used to create patterns or designs in the fabric being produced. The laser stop works by emitting a beam of light that is detected by a sensor in the machine. When the beam is interrupted by a pre-programmed pattern, the machine stops knitting at that point. This allows for precise control over the knitting process and can be used to create intricate designs that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with traditional knitting methods. The use of laser stops is becoming increasingly common in the textile industry as manufacturers seek to differentiate their products and offer more customization options to customers.
