This report comes from Chicagoland Fire Photos: The Englewood Fire Alarm Office dispatched a working fire to the 21st Battalion at 9845 S Hoyne Ave while units were still en route. Engine 121 and Truck 40 arrived first and confirmed a fire in a 1-1/2 story, 20x50 Chicago Bungalow that was reported as vacant. Engine 121 deployed two lines, while Truck 40 positioned their aerial ladder on the roof and performed vertical ventilation. Squad 5 was held in reserve until units arrived. The fire was quickly brought under control with no injuries reported.
