Oak Forest is on the site

The Oak Forest Fire Department, part of MABAS Division 24, has recently been added to the site. Located in a 5.6 square mile area, the department operates out of two fire stations and employs 28 full-time and 31 paid-on-call firefighters. Their primary fire suppression equipment comes from Pierce, with one HME/Luverne engine also in service. The fire apparatus is predominantly painted black over red, while their ambulances are white. However, the newest ambulance, a Lifeline model, has been painted in the same black-over-red scheme as the rest of the fleet. Alongside station and apparatus photos, Karl Klotz contributed close-up shots of company decals from three of the vehicles. These images highlight the distinctive branding that identifies the department's equipment on the road. One of the images features Engine Company 983, showcasing the detailed decal that adorns the vehicle. Another image captures the front of a GMC Lifeline ambulance, highlighting the department’s logo and identifying markings. These photos offer a closer look at the visual identity of the Oak Forest Fire Department and the attention to detail in their equipment presentation. Karl’s contributions add valuable visual context to the site, giving visitors a better sense of what the department looks like in action. His work helps preserve and share the unique character of local fire services.
