New shift commander unit for the Cary FPD

Last month, Cary Fire welcomed a new unit into service—Battalion #2. This is a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4x4 extended cab pickup truck. The vehicle has been customized with a bed cap and a slide tray installed for added functionality and storage. This new unit is expected to enhance response capabilities and support the department’s ongoing efforts to serve the community effectively.
