Xu Ping Sends Message to New Graduates of Dongfeng University

As they stepped out of the university gates, filled with dreams and aspirations for the future, 2000 new graduates joined the Dongfeng Business family this year. On September 5th, 200 of them started their onboarding training at the company’s headquarters. Xu Ping, the General Manager and Party Secretary of the company, made a strong impression during his speech: "Your arrival has brought fresh energy to Dongfeng. I hope you stay grounded, remain passionate, and grow alongside the company." Mr. Li Shaozhuo, Deputy General Manager; Fan Zhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Ye Huicheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee; and Liu Weidong, another Deputy General Manager, all attended the opening ceremony of the 2007 graduate onboarding program. The event was hosted by Li Shaodang. Xu Ping, representing the company's headquarters and the Party Committee, warmly welcomed the new graduates into the Dongfeng family. As he looked around at the young faces full of energy and enthusiasm, he said with emotion, “It brings me great joy to see you all. I can feel the vibrant youthfulness in the air. I left campus over 20 years ago, just like you. I understand your excitement.” He encouraged the new employees to approach life and work with gratitude—grateful to their parents, to society, and to Dongfeng’s customers. He urged them to avoid self-centeredness and to be diligent, not afraid of challenges. He emphasized that only through solid efforts and real-life experiences can they turn their dreams into reality. He also called on them to remain passionate, always driven by inner fire, and to push themselves forward with every step. Professionalism and sincerity were also key points in his speech. An expert, he said, is someone with both strong professional skills and deep experience. No matter what role you take on, you should strive for excellence and make a meaningful impact. Communication skills are equally important, as teamwork and collaboration are essential. A good communicator builds trust and fosters unity. He reminded them of an old saying: “A peaceful heart leads to self-cultivation, family harmony, national stability, and world peace.” He hoped that everyone would thrive and lead fulfilling lives in the years ahead. Li Shaozhuo and Fan Zhong also provided the trainees with insights into the company’s development, strategic direction, corporate culture, and technological research and development. The three-day training program included various activities such as youth development forums, team-building sessions, the fourth Dongfeng Youth English Speaking Competition, and a welcome dinner for the 2007 graduates. It was a comprehensive and engaging start for the new members of the Dongfeng family.
