What the unloader valve does is that is responds to the compressor pressure switch turning the power off to the motor and allows any air that may be trapped over the piston, or pistons on a multi-cylinder air compressor, to vent to atmosphere, removing any load that the trapped air may have created over the cylinder . Domestic hydrogen analyzer successfully applied in the Puguang gas field to import imported equipment
China Instrument Network Instrument Development On September 25th, after three months of operation at the second joint installation of the Puguang Gas Field Natural Gas Purification Plant, the domestic hydrogen analyzer showed excellent performance. The test results confirmed that the equipment is running smoothly and effectively removing moisture. This marks a significant step forward in the localization of key gas field instrumentation.
Located in Puguang Town, Xuanhan County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, the Puguang Gas Field is an ultra-deep, high-sulfur, high-pressure, and complex mountainous gas field. It is the largest marine high-sulfur gas field discovered in China. As of August 20, the total gas production from the Puguang Gas Field has reached 70.045 billion cubic meters. Of this, 51.28 billion cubic meters came from the main block, 18.443 billion cubic meters from the Dawan block, and 273 million cubic meters from the Shuangmiao Qingxi and peripheral blocks.
When the Puguang Gas Field first started production, all online analytical instruments in the purification unit were imported. However, challenges such as high spare parts costs, long procurement lead times, and excessive moisture during startup led to the decision to develop and test local alternatives. Puguang Branch, in collaboration with relevant departments, focused on key technologies, including hydrogen analyzer systems, water removal techniques, and material selection. A pilot project for localized solutions was launched.
Over the past three years, technicians, along with domestic research institutes and manufacturers, conducted extensive studies and development work. Finally, the localization of the hydrogen analyzer was successfully implemented.
Today, the domestic hydrogen analyzer is installed in the purification system, operating in parallel with the imported model. Its data is integrated into the DCS (Distributed Control System). The domestic version has operated without any failures and demonstrated stable performance. Real-time monitoring data shows that its detection results are very close to those of the imported equipment, with even better sensitivity and linearity.
According to reports, the domestic hydrogen analyzer uses advanced multi-stage water removal methods, such as dynamic recirculation and vortex cooling. These techniques allow most of the moisture to return to the process pipeline, preventing large amounts of water vapor from entering the system during startup or shutdown. This significantly reduces the risk of damage to sensitive components. Additionally, the lead time for the domestic supplier has been reduced from 9 months to just 15 days, while procurement and maintenance costs have dropped by nearly 50%, completely addressing previous issues caused by foreign equipment.
